For effective increase of the carbonate hardness
kH-Plus increases immediately the carbonate hardness.
The carbonate hardness in the freshwater aquarium should be over 5° dkH (°German carbonate hardness) rsp. 8,9° TAC (°French carbonate hardness). The carbonate hardness reflects the acid bonding capacity of the water and stabilizes the pH-value in the tank.
A too small kH-value can lead to a pH-drop.
Particularly in tanks with high fish trimming it can lead to a drop of the ph-value caused by biological decomposition process.
Application:
Intersperse the weighed out dose slowly into the stream.
The filter and UV-devices can remain in operation.
Larger kH-value increases should take place over several days !
Dosing:
The infeed of 50ml (1.7 fl oz) kH-Plus increases the carbonate hardness by 2°kH with 100l water.
